When I say Earl Grey, you say 'Yes Please!'

Current whereabouts and whatabouts

So, I never made it as far north as balmy Nova Scotia. It was a really good opportunity, doing what I was passionate about. But unfortunately given my personal situations, it turned out to be undoable. Needless to I took a job in Annapolis, MD. It's great and I'm totally loving it. I be working for an up-and-coming game studio called Blue Omega. I don't know how much liberty I have to describe the project I'm animating on, but I'll tell you this: it looks really good. It's keeping me nice and busy, though I haven't had much opportunity to create personal artwork. So, for anyone who checks this blog occasionally, continue to do so, though probably on a lesser scale.

And on another note, my wife and I are expecting baby boy numero tres. How crazy is that?

Little Nemo

Went to the Baltimore Comicon over the weekend. It was nice. Met up with some friends and had a nice time just hanging out. While there, I purchased my first animation cel-art. It's from a scene in Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. The whole things is amazing. It has an original animation board, hand painted layout + a couple of hand-painted  cel layers.

I'm still around! And gettin' around!

I'm still kicking in the land of the living. Been doing a little bit 'o' drawring, though have felt particularly lazy when it comes to posting stuff. However, in my defense, I've been brushing up my 3D animation skillz. Hooray for free rigs!

Traveling Medicine Show

Here's the next installation in Traveling Medicine Show artwork... the colored character line-up, featuring: The Pharmacist, Zeb, Maggie, Tocho and Guy Duchesne.

Empire Strikes Back! (and other doodles)...

This last week was a little crazy with a rush job for Copernicus. Didn't get much time to sit and draw. But, I tried to make it up over the weekend. So... without further adue...

The first sketch of Han Solo led to the second sketch - an homage to Empire Strikes Back. I was kindof trying to see how much I could squeeze into one page, haha. Anyway, I kindof want to go and ink it now.

Garden Gnome and Doppelganger

Here's a strange idea I had recently. It's kind of been a spin on another idea I have a while ago. What if this kid finds a mummified fetus-looking thing in his box of raisin bran? When he spills his cereal milk on it, it turns into a garden gnome.
Eventually it dries back out into the mummified doppelganger. Whatever fluid he pours/spills on it, the doppelganger turns into something different. I dunno. So much possibility...

Random Sketches

Some more sketchedy goodness.... A pissed football player, random character designs, and an unapproved concept sketch for a project at Copernicus Studios.
